The Blood Donor clinic Sponsored by Guardian Angels Council 14540 was a great success with 49 donors attending and 40 units of blood collected, saving the lives of 120 lives! It is our first community outreach program in the parish and this by itself is an enourmous accomplishment and allowing 120 lives who may need blood. God has given us the opportunity to save the lives of others through our first venture on blood donation.

This $60 million redevelopment will make Stratford General Hospital a state of the art medical facility and we as Knights are proud to be part of it.
This pacesetting pledge of $100,000. will name the "Maternity/Child Visitor's Lounge and Quite Room" in our honour. We felt that this commitment supports our family values and our focus of caring in our community.

la cathédrale Notre Dame Cathedral Council Number 13781
Submited on May 1, 2009 by Council 13781
Authorized by Roger Richard, Grand Knight

As spring arrived, members of Knights of Columbus representing three local Councils - St. Joseph, St. Lorenzo Ruiz and Notre Dame Cathedral - gathered together for an evening of fun and camaraderie at Scotiabank Place to enjoy the second last Ottawa Senator's home game versus the Boston Bruins. The Knights of Columbus are all very active in their respective communities, focusing their collective efforts on supporting their churches, communities, families and youth. You may know them from some of their fund raising initiatives such as pancake breakfasts, weekend BBQs, sporting competitions or possibly even community car washes. Their night at the Senators game was a great opportunity for the hard working and dedicated members to treat their families and friends to a much deserved evening of relaxation. If you’d like to find out more about the Knights of Columbus council nearest you.

Divine Infant Ottawa Ontario Council Number 7873
Submited on April 30, 2009 by Council 7873
Authorized by Real Thibalt, Grand Knight

Local Community turns out to support Knight Refurbishing Computers initiative. The Public dropped off their old computers and the Knights collected over 6 tons of computers which has now been diverted from land fill and professionally recycled or refurbished. In less than two weeks, over 25 computers have now been donated to young inquisitive and temporarily disadvantaged youths. This initiative in effect extends both their potential and the useful life of computers. Responding to the educational needs for children in financially-challenged families is one of the prime goals behind the Knights of Columbus initiative. Also providing access to computers for seniors who may not be able to afford a computer enables then to use the internet to stay in touch with family members.
